Simply browse our marketplace, select the items you wish to rent, and connect with the owner. Once the rental is confirmed, the item will be shipped to you. After using it, return the item, and you’ll receive payment within 3-5 business days if you are renting out your clothing.
You can rent and list everyday and designer wear, including dresses, suits, jackets, bags. We encourage listing clean, well-maintained items in great condition.
We recommend using the platform’s shipping to ensure safe delivery and returns. Each transaction is covered by our insurance policy, protecting both renters and lenders.
Currently, Style Cycle is available in Australia, but we plan to expand to other regions in the future. Stay tuned for updates!
At Style Cycle, we’re dedicated to ensuring a safe and trustworthy experience for both renters and lenders. To give you peace of mind, every member who rents items are required to complete our ID verification process.
If a member ever asks you to make a payment outside of the Style Cycle platform, here’s what you need to do:
STOP COMMUNICATION:
For your safety, stop engaging with anyone who requests payment outside of Style Cycle. This goes against our community guidelines and puts you at risk.
REPORT THE USER:
Let us know right away. You can report the user through our Help Centre or reach out to our Support Team directly. Please include any messages or screenshots that help us understand the situation.
KEEP ALL TRANSACTIONS ON STYLE CYCLE:
To ensure your rental is protected, all payments and communications should happen only through the Style Cycle platform. This helps us keep things secure and transparent for everyone.
COMMUNITY STANDARDS:
All members agree to our Terms of Use, which strictly forbid taking payments or rentals off-platform. This rule exists to create a trusted and fair space for everyone using Style Cycle.
Renting Options
Browse our marketplace for your desired clothing. Select the item and the rental duration. Confirm the rental by paying through our secure platform. Receive your item and enjoy wearing it! Return the item in its original condition by the due date.
You’re responsible for any damage or loss. Costs may include repairs, replacement, and associated fees. Non-payment can lead to legal action and platform suspension.
Rental bookings can be canceled within 24 hours of the reservation. After that, a cancellation fee may apply. Check the specific terms of each listing for details.
You should be returning the item as soon as the rental date ends, return instructions will be provided by the item’s owner. Generally, you will need to send the item back using the prepaid shipping label provided. Be sure to return it in the condition you received it and on time.
Yes! Many of our users rent out their favorite items multiple times. However, each item’s availability depends on the owner’s listing preferences.
The Lender will ship your rental a few days before your Start Date to ensure it arrives on time. Once the Lender shares the tracking details via Messenger, you can start tracking your rental. If you haven’t received the tracking info yet, simply message the Lender to request it. This way, you can stay on top of the delivery and enjoy your item for the entire rental period!
Please make sure to communicate with the Lender directly any concerns or requests directly with them. If you need help, reach out to us via the help icon or our contact page to arrange a refund. We’re here to make sure your rental experience is seamless and stress-free. Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you need assistance!
No need to worry! Our Fit Satisfaction Policy is here to help. If your item doesn’t fit, you can request a partial refund. You’ll receive a full refund, minus the dry cleaning and delivery fees.
Important things to note:
- Inspect your rental as soon as it arrives.
- Contact both the Lender and the Style Cycle team right away.
- To be eligible for our Fit Satisfaction Policy, submit your request within 24 hours of the rental start date.
The item must also be returned by mail within this 24-hour window.
At the time of booking, your card will be authorized for the rental fee. This authorization is temporary and ensures the funds are available if the lender accepts your rental request. The lender has 48 hours to confirm your rental request. You can use this time to communicate with the lender through the messaging feature.
If Approved: Once the lender accepts your rental request within the 48-hour window, the payment will be captured, and the rental proceeds as planned. You’ll receive a confirmation email with all the rental details.
If Declined or Expired: If the lender declines your request, or the 48-hour period passes without acceptance, the authorization on your card will be reversed. This means:
There will be no actual charge on your statement.
The authorization will disappear after a few days.
If the item significantly differs from its listing, you may be eligible for a refund. Please note that minor wear and tear is expected, as items are pre-loved. If you meet the criteria we will refund the rental price minus the delivery fees.
Notify the Lender within 24 hours: As soon as you notice any issues, contact the Lender immediately. This is a crucial first step.
Check your rental right away: We recommend inspecting your rental as soon as it arrives to catch any problems early.
Take a photo: Snap a picture of the issue right away. Your phone will time-stamp the photo, which helps with documentation.
Communicate via Style Cycle Messenger: Report the issue to the Lender through our messaging system. You can find the Lender on the rental details page or via your message dashboard. Fast communication ensures a quicker resolution.
Return the item within 24 hours: Unless you and the Lender agree on a discounted rate due to the issue, the item should be returned within 24 hours of reporting the problem. Failure to return the item within this time frame may affect your right to a refund.
Contact our support team if needed: If you’re unable to resolve the issue with the Lender within 72 hours, contact our support team. Provide your order number, details of your communication with the Lender, and any relevant photos. We’ll always make sure you’ve tried to resolve the issue with the Lender first, so please reach out to them before contacting us.

Lending Options
You can upload items from any brand, as long as they meet the following criteria:
- The retail value is between $150 and $1,500 AUD for clothing and up to $1,400 AUD for bags.
- Bags valued above $900 AUD require proof of purchase.
- The item is in excellent condition.
- The item is not irreplaceable or one-of-a-kind.
- The item is durable and does not wear easily (e.g., stiletto heels are not permitted).
- The item is not made from real fur.
Style Cycle reserves the right to edit or remove listings that don’t meet these criteria.
Additional considerations when listing items:
- Delicate fabrics like silk, satin, and velvet may be more prone to natural wear and can be difficult to repair seamlessly.
- Long hems should be mentioned in the item description.
- Loose accessories (e.g., belts or sashes) require extra care, as they can be misplaced during rentals.
There is no listing fee to add your items on Style Cycle. Instead, a 15% service fee is deducted from each successful rental transaction.
This small fee helps us cover administrative and operational costs—such as secure payments, customer support, and platform maintenance—ensuring a smooth experience for both renters and lenders.

To list an item on Style Cycle:
- Click “List an Item”
- Fill in the product details – Include key information such as the brand, size, and fit. The more details, the better! Extra style notes and specifics can be really helpful for renters. If your item has any minor imperfections, be sure to photograph and describe them in the listing. Note: Only select one size per listing.
- Upload high-quality photos – Display your item using a variety of images. The main photo should have no background and be free of distractions. Additionally, include images showing the item’s current condition.
- Set your delivery and dry cleaning costs – And that’s it! Your item is ready to rent.
Reminder: All items must be shipped via a next-day service or must arrive on or before the rental start date. Shipments should be tracked, signed for, and include the appropriate insurance. Be sure to account for these costs when setting your shipping price.
When listing an item on Style Cycle, the platform provides a suggested rental fee based on various factors. Here’s how pricing is determined and how you can customize it as a Lender:
Suggested Rental Fee
Style Cycle suggests an optimal rental fee when you list an item, typically 10%-15% of the item’s retail price. This range is considered the ideal balance for competitive and profitable rental pricing.
Customizing Your Price
As a Lender, you have the flexibility to adjust the suggested pricing to suit your preferences. You can increase or decrease the rental fee based on factors such as demand, item condition, brand popularity, or current fashion trends.
By setting the right price, you can optimize your listings, attract more renters, and make the most of your wardrobe on Style Cycle!
To ensure transparency and protect both Lenders and Renters, follow these steps to document your item’s condition before and after lending.
Before Sending Out:
- Take clear, detailed photos of the item using your phone.
- Capture any existing imperfections or details that may be important for the Renter to note.
- Ensure these photos are taken within 24 hours before dispatching the item.
- Your phone’s date stamp will serve as proof of the item’s condition at the time of dispatch.
Upon Receiving the Item Back:
- Inspect the item as soon as it is returned.
- If you notice any damage or discrepancies, take additional clear photos within 24 hours of receiving it.
- These images should highlight any new damage or changes in condition.
- Contact the Renter via Messenger immediately to report any issues.
If necessary, you can issue a charge directly to the Renter.
If a resolution isn’t reached within 72 hours, reach out to the Style Cycle Support Team for assistance.
The Lender is responsible for dry cleaning each item before sending it out for another rental. This ensures they have control over the process, can choose their preferred dry cleaner, and set the cleaning cost accordingly.
If your item doesn’t fit the Renter, no worries! Renters can apply for a Fit Satisfaction Policy by returning the item the day after it arrives. You’ll still receive payment for the postage and dry cleaning costs as set in your listing.
Style Cycle’s Tip: If you’ve been receiving multiple Fit Refund requests, consider adding more details to your listing—such as your height, item measurements, and how it fits on you. Including extra photos can also help Renters make a more informed choice!
Your payout will be processed 2 days after the rental period ends. You should receive the funds within 4-5 working days depending on your bank. Payments are securely processed through our payment partner.
Make sure your bank account is linked to your Style Cycle profile. If you encounter any issues, feel free to email us.
Contact Your Renter
If your rental has ended and you haven’t received tracking information from your Renter, we recommend reaching out to them directly to check if there’s any reason for the delay. Sometimes, renters may simply not have had a chance to upload the tracking details yet.
If the return date has passed and there’s still no communication, please contact our team via email and we will get back to you within 24 hrs.
Important: Any late returns must be reported to our team within three days of the rental end date. We’re here to support you and will do everything we can to locate your item in case of a loss. However, as a peer-to-peer marketplace, Style Cycle is not financially responsible for items lost during the rental process.
